Empowerment, to me, is critical in building a strong team. When a staff member feels empowered, they have a deeper satisfaction in their role, and in turn perform to their highest potential. Empowering our directors instills the confidence and competence to lead their line staff. This leads to taking pride in their day-to-day work and more accountability the job is getting done to the set expectations.

I empower my team by showing up every day knowing every job, no matter how big or small, impacts those we serve. When you develop professionalism in an employee and take a true interest in them as a person, you can see a person bloom in their role within the community.
